My new toy

Mods deleted my other one, so ill start it over. Bought a 72 c20 custom deluxe last week, plan on using it as a toy/weekend truck. 454, th350, ho52 eaton with posi. on coils in rear, also came with th400 trans that I plan on swaping in. Paid $2500. gonna lower it some, thinking of a 28" front tire with a 30" in rear. Any input good or bad is wanted. Hoping to get 450-500HP at rear wheels. is that a long shot? what kinda 1/4 mile time would you guess? cant really find any c20 1/4 mile times. Should I keep the eaton and 8 lugs or swap to a 12bolt and 5 lug front?

heres how I got it

when I got home, alls I did was swap tires with some beaters/rollers so I could sell other ones

Stock 454? I would think as heavy as that truck is, you would be looking at 15 second 1/4 mile time.

no motor has some work done to it not sure what yet, so im going to build it. And as far as 1/4 mile times I meant if I got the engine to where I wanted, 450-500 rwhp

Are the wheels gone? Those were cool. Nice truck. You'd be running pretty mean for the street at 400-450hp in that thing. With all that,I still think you'll be no better than 14s,maybe high 13s. It would make a nice quick street hauler no matter what

Re: My new toy

Don't let the pics cool you! It's got its problems. Today I noticed when I stomp the gas it bogs down then takes off. Thinking either accelerator pump or timing
