72 250 engine ground
Hey all,
I recently bought a 72 lwb without an engine and I'm almost ready to put another 250 in it, but I don't know where the engine is supposed to ground to the frame. Could anyone tell me or show me a pic of where it's supposed to be? Thanks Keith |

Re: 72 250 engine ground
Mine is grounded between the firewall and engine somewhere around the last spark plug. You can see it in the pic screwed to the firewall above the sparkplug wire. I cant remember where it bolts to the block at and its not in any of my pics.
Disclaimer---This is on a 67 and that is not necessarily the "correct" ground location. |

Re: 72 250 engine ground
Rear of the valve cover to the firewall on passenger side like in the picture but I can't find a good or better picture. I bought extra ground straps because I keep reading how important grounds are on these trucks: Bed to frame, (2) cab to frame, (2) engine to frame.
