This that make you go hmm

So I'm working on the inner rocker and kick panel. First pic is the inner rocker and the second is the kick panel. Why is there such a considerable gap? Am I not aligning this inner kick panel correctly? Its resting on the inner rocker ok, just up the side there is a huge gap

The sheet metal parts you buy are not exact fit you will have to cut and reshape to fit like OEM. I had to save old peices i cut out so i could have a template to make the repop fit.

Bolt on parts, don't.
Pre-cut metal, isn't.

20% of fab work is shaping, and welding. The other 80% is equal parts wondering how you will make it happen, and pondering what you have gotten yourself into.

Great quote but unfortunately very true

Don't forget the part where you cuss out the parts mfg for not putting more R&D time into the part before they put it on the market.

Very True ! Estimate how long the replacement metal will take to install...then triple that estimate !

What about the part where you throw things and your family is afraid to come out into the garage to see what is wrong?

Don't forget the neighbors too. They all think I am crazy or need medication.
