Re: Truck wont turn on!!!

Check the connections to your starter, I've had this happen multiple times due to my starter silinoid going out. Also check your battery cables, make sure your negative is grounded to a CLEAN bare metal spot on the block. Then also like stated above there is a fuse link on the ignition wire that will burn out. Last but not least check that your wires have not burnt through buy laying on headers or engine block! If you come up with all this stuff ok we can go from hear. It's like running medical tests, rule out the easy stuff first! Let us know how it goes!

Re: Truck wont turn on!!!

Does it click several times when you turn the key??? LIghts dim or not working??? If so, dead/dying battery.

Yes, lights will work just fine if the starter is bad. Radio will work, power windows/etc will all still work if it's the starter.

If there's no clicking when trying to start it, and all other accessories work, then you either have a bad power lead from battery, bad lead to the solenoid, bad ignition switch box, or bad starter itself. Rare, but on occasion, you can get a bad cell in a battery that only shuts off when under high load. Those can be tough to diagnose.
