if anyone is in the market for....

a truck cover.....summit has them on sale now. got one for the 68shrtbd. just came in the mail yestiddy! you even get the cable and lock ($10-12 value) free. it is a quality cover (wolf) in a 3 layer.... which is hard to find at that price.... believe me i been pricing them. go to www.summitracing.com and put in part #wlf-249-90306. this is for the shortbeds should be another part #for the longbeds. total price delivered to my door was $78 including the handling fee in that price. no charge for ground shipping.

yep....the overall length of the bed is the only discerning difference between the covers.the cover comes down the sides on mine and all you see showing is about 6" of the lower portion of the tires.it also fits the cab on our trucks perfectly(the profile).

Thanks for the info. I just ordered one online. Did yours automatically come with the cable/lock? It didn't mention it on the cover page.

yeah, the part # comes up on the page and right above it will be a "yes i want my special offer" for the cable lock kit.it's part # is wlf-999-99000...i think it was a $10 value. and to answer tuck's question...yes, the inner lining is a soft flannel type material,so it won't harm your paint job.

I just ordered one, but my total price came to 73.40 with the handling charge. I think its because you have to pay taxes becase you live in ohio.

Well, I received mine today. Its going back. It is a nylon type without a soft inner layer. This will scratch the hell out of your paint.

I will exchange it for the 129 dollar cover with the felt linning.

So what's the opinions? It sounds like a really good deal, but will it really scratch the paint. Just curious, because I've been looking for an outdoor cover for my '68, but don't want to spend an arm and a leg. Thanks. John

Thats what it says on the box. The box is a plain white.
Explain what fabric yours is made of. Like I said mine is just one piece of fabric.

I received the same material Tuck did. I'm sending mine back as well. BUXMAN66, is your inner fabric different than the outside?

i double checked mine yesterday when i was out in the garage.....and i had been looking at the area where the grommets attach to the fabric...at this area there is a flannel patch sewn in to protect the plastic grommet from the paint.my bad on that one guy's... as far as the material being only one layer, it is described as being a three layer fabric. as far as scratching the paint ,i don't believe the inner layer will but to each his own. i think if my paint was that pristine i wouldn't be skimping on it at all and i'd spring for a $250 jobber that has a flannel/felt inner layer.......or hell, yank the comforter of the bed and throw it over your truck.

Paint cost to much to scratch up with a cover. Even though I get mine for free!

Here's mine. I paid 60 buck a year ago. I got it to basically cover the truck so the neighbors won't complain. The wife REALLY likes it too. :p

It's thin and is getting a few tears in places. It no match for heavy winds either. It has to holes on each side for a cable lock but I have a rope keeping it tied to the truck.

My question about any of these covers is do they allow for the radio antenna? What did you do Zumo?
