Re: Radio?

A decent one that works should bring between 300 - 400 depending on who is selling it, who wants it, how rusty it is, if it works correctly and how pitted the face is.

It is funny here on the parts board, you won't see any forever and then you will see two or three posted in the same week.

Re: Radio?

Even if you get an AM/FM radio, and get it all working, it really won't sound too great with the stock speaker. What I did, was to get a stock AM radio completely functional so that the hole in the dash was filled and everything has the classic look, but then I got a Bluetooth speaker that I can stream music from my phone to. The speaker has better sound than stock. I got the $59 JBL Bluetooth speaker. It charges with a standard micro USB car charger, and you can set it anywhere

Re: Radio?

I guess I did ok. I got less than a hundred, the face seems to be fine and he said all dials worked as did the flipper like it should. He said it played fine when he took it out of the truck. What he didn't say was if he junked the truck in 1973[lol]. Jim

Re: Radio?

Yeah, I would say you did great for under $100.00. Even if you need to take it and have it repaired it will be worth the investment.

Another option if you like the premium sound is to buy one of these modern AM/FM stereos that have an Ipod jack that will fit in your dash for around $400.00. There are several options for sound and still have the original look.

Myself, I love that old crappy mono speaker can't tune in crap radio. It is what it sounded like back in the early seventies and that is something that I appreciate.
