half done drop!

Steve Cole and I went after it on the truck this afternoon and got the CPP coils and shocks I bought off of Bhelton on.

Took about 4 hrs to do both sides. We could easily do it in half of that now I think.

New parts on an old truck look cool! (I resisted the temptation to start cleaning and painting down there- that'd be a huge can of worms).

Here's before/ stock height:

And after with a 3" drop up front:

I've got the parts ordered for the rear. Should be able to install them after the Goodguys show in Charlotte this coming weekend.

Re: half done drop!

Start spraying the rear suspension bolts with PB Blaster or Kroil now.You should be prepared to replace those bolts also. They have a tendency to twist off.

Yeah, I thought about that last night.....while I was driving up to VA for the week. Oh well...I can hit them Friday night and Saturday to prep them for removal Sunday.

Everything else has come apart easy enough on this truck- hopefully the hind end will be the same.

Thanks guys. It was pretty cool doing something to the truck that was for cool factor and not just a needed repair. Steve really enjoyed himself too- he kept bogarting the job trying to do everything himself instead of sharing. We decided its more fun to work on someone else's truck instead of your own since you aren't thinking (or caring) about the money being spent!
