Re: Bds, skyjacker or tuff country

I had tuff country and no real negatives but if I did it again I would go BDS.

Re: Bds, skyjacker or tuff country

I have tuff country now but would rather have skyjacker. Bds i've inly seen on newer trucks so they're uncharted waters for me.

^^^ ha!, thats funny. i took the bds (broken down s**t) springs & shocks off my truck cause they were garbage & used skyjackers. i don't like to diss brands much though, one bad experience isn't always reflective of a company's products

then again, my friend put them on fords since he hates anything thats not a ford truck. No clue if they vary between makes or not... but he put BDS's on his late model ford f350 powerchokes and says how theyre the best lift from his experience

Re: Bds, skyjacker or tuff country

asked a guy at work about his truck today just so happen he said the lift is a 2.5" bds lift i asked about it he said he was pleased with it but the small kit only offered blocks for the rear which he didn't care for. hope this helps.

Re: Bds, skyjacker or tuff country

I put a 6" sky-jacker system in my 83 about 20 years ago. The front was springs, rear was blocks and added leaf. After all this time, the springs have not sagged under the weight of the orignal diesel and then the swapped in 454. But it rode like a brick. I'm going to modify them to flex a bit better and hopefullt the weight of the Cummins will smooth them out a bit.

Re: Bds, skyjacker or tuff country

I love my skyjackers! Cant go wrong with those guys. Just try to stay away from blocks in the rear. If you're offroad a lot you'll regret it. I went with ORD shackle flip for the back with Skyjacker nitro shocks and I couldn't be happier! I put in 1 inch zero rates front and rear so im at about 5 inch total lift.
