New Guy From Alberta!

Hey everyone! Another new guy checking in from southern Alberta. I've been a long time lurker of this site and have wanted a 67-72 since I was a little kid. Was actually saving my earnings at 14 already in hopes of picking something up. Time goes on, and finally I picked up a project. It's a 1972 c10. Basically a stripper model, as it doesn't even have power steering. It does have a 350/sm465 which was last running 10 years ago. I also have a 68 c10 that I'll b using for parts as it has a pretty good body and really nice box. The plan is to get it running and address the problems from there. Eventually it'll get a 5 lug conversion, and a 73-87 front end so I'll have power steering. I also have a 6.0 lq4 that'll eventually make it into her as well, hopefully backed by a tremec t56. I work at the local napa, so parts are readily available. This site has helped me a ton already! Open to any suggestions you guys might have. Okay, that's a big enough epistle! Lol on with the pics...right after pushing it of the trailer. This thing is incredibly dirty!

And the donor truck...

The truck is fairly disassembled, but it's only really missing the engine and front fenders. Also has leaves in the rear. Picked everything up for 1200. don't think I did to badly... especially bring up North here...

Its a small world! You obviously have some connection here... Use to live in the area? Nope, there's still alot of us keeping the fires burning in the rural areas.

Yup!!
Mom and 2 brothers in the Hat.
I lived there in the 70's.
Nice thing about that country is that with a spotting scope you can check out every thing for miles around looking for old iron.
