Re: Led Headlights
Polycarbonite is that another name for plastic? If so, the only drawback for me as they look great. But against a plastic lens personally.

Re: Led Headlights
Polycarbonite is Lexan. Really really tough plastic.

Re: Led Headlights
Yep, polycaronite is shatter resistant, impact resistant, if something is clear and intended to survive being shot at, it almost always is constructed mostly of polycarbonite. A 1/4" of polycarbonite will probably stop a higher calibre bullet than a 1/4" of aluminum. Downside, it's not very scratch resistant.

Re: Led Headlights
Is that prone to the hazy, cloudy you see on the newer cars?

Re: Led Headlights
It is, but polycarb also polishes easily.

Re: Led Headlights
Very cool. I just don't like the brand logo across the front. Being in the Army i've become accustomed to the no visible brands on clothing rule. Otherwise a very functional and non energy taxing idea.

Re: Led Headlights
Those are pretty cool. I have a JW speaker light on my harley, and keep thinking about it for my truck, but honestly I think they're ugly, and SOO expensive. I couldn't help but notice no pricing on the site you posted.

Re: Led Headlights
I thought they were a hard find but got to looking around and trucklit sells them to with out the logo found them on ebay for 390 a set. Read some reviews and everyone says you need to buy the anti fliker kit for around 60

They are really high build quality though to their credit. (The truck lites are) If you search the internet for something about these lights with an x in the beam, you will find threads that talk about it. You don't need the anti flicker kit. It is for newer cars with can bus. I didn't need it on my 2006 rubicon lj wrangler. And our c10's wouldn't need it either.
