CA 1972 402 w/ th400 for sale! - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey all. I posted this in the WIW section for pricing, but didn't get any replies. Looking to sell my original 402 BB with attached th400. Edelbrock intake manifold, edelbrock 1406 electric choke carb, high torque mini starter, high amp chrome alternator, HEI distributor, MSD wires, Alan groves brackets for AC and alternator, power steering pump and reservoir, clutch fan, engine stands. The rest is pretty stock. Ran really good, shifted great. Smoked a little if you really romp on the gas. Used a little oil (don't most big blocks!) only pulled for ls swap for better gas mileage. No idea on mileage, just know it ran well for me as a daily driver.
I'm thinking 1500.00. I could be way off, but I don't know. I would prefer local pickup.
I also have the original intake and quadrajet, as well as frame stands for additional cost.
Please keep all posts in thread so I won't get people out of order. First I I'll take it gets it.

Well, I think your asking price is on higher side, but maybe in a quality parts trade or something you may need or want...another project truck, tach dash, speedwarning, etc...

Thanks for the feedback on pricing. I wasn't sure where it needs to be exactly, and got no reply in the WIW section. To be really honest with you I don't need much of anything (except a good tune on the l92 by a tuner who knows what they are doing!) The suburban is done for the most part, and I'm not in a place to take on another project (as much as I want to). I was thinking about changing over to stock 8 lug steelies with hubcaps. Nothing show quality, just nice clean drivers. Got anything like that handy?

Sorry, I always forget to go through the WIW section...I am sure I have a good set of 8 lug stock steel wheels...most likely 16.5's. Might have some hub caps, not sure on that though...is your suburban GMC or Chevrolet?
May be interested in it $ wise too...if we could come to an agreement on $
