Radio antenna wire question.

The radio antenna wire in my '76 GMC is fragged at the radio end so I need to replace the wire. Does anyone have a pic of how the wire is attached to the firewall? I googled it but can't find any pics of the opposite end from the radio. It has the antenna in the windshield. I know what the little piece that snaps on the windshield looks like but I cant see how or where the 2 screws go in the opposite end of the wire that plugs into the radio. Thanks.

Re: Radio antenna wire question.

FWIW, the part number for the antenna lead is 6270654.

Re: Radio antenna wire question.

Thanks a bunch guys. I'm guessing I'm gonna have to pull the dash pad to get to those two screws. Between my poor eyesight and my bad back I'm gonna have a dang hard time reaching up there.

Re: Radio antenna wire question.

Looking at the diagram, see if you can access it from behind the ashtray. May be easier and I hope that works.
