Posi question - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I found a posi carrier for 100 bucks. I know I have heard members says there is a good posi and a bad posi. I know this is from a late 70's or early 80's 4x4. Will it work or should I just spent the money on a auburn posi carrier. Here is a pic if it helps.

That is a "gov-lock" and not the good one. I would opt for the new auburn posi
