If there are no pictures, none of what you said really happened. For all we know you two are making this up. We’re going to need picture proof  I think it is great you went with the same color as your grandpa’s truck so you’ll have a matching set once the truck gets painted. I was wondering about the paint color as I didn’t think that color of blue was original to your Burb. Now it all makes sense.
