Third brake light with cargo light?

Has anyone retrofitted a late model third brake light/cargo light onto the back of the cab? If so, what did it come out, what modifications were necessary and do you have pictures to post?

You could take a stock cargo light, drill a few holes in it and pop a few lights, or even LEDs in there.
Once the lens is back on, it'll look bone stock untill you hit the woah pedal, plus, you retain the white light feature.

I dont have pix, and you may already know this, but early classic enterprises sells an LED/Cargo light that is in the original housing for our trucks. Not cheap however. I think they are $100
Would look really cool on our trucks however.

Thumbs up

LONGHORN, THANKS FOR SHOWING WHAT YOU DID THERE. I'VE BEEN TOYING WITH THE IDEA OF CONVERTING MY CARGO LIGHT TO A THIRD BRAKE LIGHT, BUT DIDN'T WANT TO LOSE THE CARGO. HOW HARD IS THAT TO DO, AND ABOUT HOW MUCH TIME, AND CASH?? I'M SURE THE REST OF THE GANG WOULD LIKE TO KNOW TOO

i havent made it to the truck to get pics yet, but the light is from the 94 and up chevy trucks. center brakelight with 2 cargo lights on the outside. very easy to install, you might want to get a new gasket for behind it depending on the condition. the only problem is if you dont like it or want to go back to original, the problem is you have to drill 4 1 1/4 inch holes for the light sockets and one 3/4 inch hole for the wires in the cab. i like mine works great. fits the contours of the cab very good. i will try to get the pics this week yet.
