'69 Camaro gas tank in our trucks
I know Classic trucks has an article regarding putting a '69 Camaro tank in a truck, but I wondered if anyone here has done it and if they have any tips to pass on--I've held off until now because I didn't want a hole in the bed or a tortured routing of the filler to the fender. But gas fumes are getting to me. The Camaro tank filler of course exits behind the license plate, which is a winner to me. The classic people used 2x3 inch tubing for mounting, which seems like a little overkill to me, maybe not......

Type in '69 Camaro Tank' on the forum search and I think you'll find some good/detailed posts

There is no "overkill" man.
I may someday relocate the thank to the rear but I would be like you....put it behind the license plate (common for cars back then) or behind the left rear side marker. |

No such thing as "overkill" man. You should see how I remodeled my ski condo....
I would like to later relocate the tank to the rear but I'd go your route (behind the license plate) or out the left side marker. |

Here is another one with a fleetside bed and he painted it black which I like as it hides the tank a little more.
