new here, pics inside. want to put 90 suburban clip on my 85 K20

Hello everyone. I just picked up a 85 K20 on bay. Maybe someone here seen it, or watched it. I made a offer and he accepted. Truck is rust free, California desert .. Plans are to put a cowl hood, paint 2 tone blk silver, vintiques 82 series 16/10 with 33 12 1/2 and a 4 inch kit. fuel injected 454 and a built 700R4 trans.

Can i buy aftermarket 90 suburban\blazer front clip parts or do i need to find a crashed suburban. Its kinda hard to find good used clips. Thanks

Wow, sounds like a nice monster truck!

I can't believe you can't find clean 'burb parts though. I've seen a least a dozen go through craigslist recently around here and have been contemplating picking up a '91 with a clean front clip this weekend. I mainly want it for the trans, possibly the rear end, and power doors. Gotta be even cleaner trucks in TX!

what drive train do you have now if you already have a th400 205 I wouldn't go with a 700 since the np208 t case behind them loves to split in half.

bnoon is right about there are tons of suburbans everywhere and its normally cheaper to do that than buying all new parts. I personally would just buy a phantom billet grill for your truck.

Houston Craigslist. Grab the core support and the wiring harness for the lights. And the grill if it's in good condition. 89-91 suburban. You could also go to the pick n pull off of wallisville.
