Fleetside vs. Stepside Rear Bumper Length
I've been needing a rear bumper for my '72 short step for some time. Well, I won an eBay auction for a bumper that was advertised as a step side bumper, but it looks long to me.
Anyone know the length difference between a fleet and step? The bumper I have is 71" long. TIA

I thought they were the same. Did you check LMC? See if they have two part numbers.

Re: Fleetside vs. Stepside Rear Bumper Length
When I was searching for one for my 83' stepside I found out the same bumper was used from 67' to 87'. So that might widen your search a little. I use the mounting holes to distinguish fleet side from step. The stepside bumpers have one row of mounting holes and fleet sides have two rows.
