Lower control arm question

Hello I have a 69 gmc 3/4 ton and I am looking for a new lower control arm for it. I am trying to order one through Lmc but they only list one for 71-72. Do you know if it will work on my 69? I've asked around and tried searching but have come up dry. Some assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

Re: Lower control arm question

The differences in the lower control arms are the spindle turn stops. Drum and disc are different. Technically the 71-87 are the same. Is yours bent?

Re: Lower control arm question

Ok. So will I be able to get away with using the 71-72 control arm I just might have to modify the steering stops? Grind them down a bit or weld something on maybe? No mine isn't bent. The long bolt with the double threaded nuts came loose and pounded the control arm right out. Thats about the best way I can explain it.

I'd get some used one. A small membership fee and you can post a wanted add in the parts section. Good old used genuine gm parts will beat lmc re pops

Re: Lower control arm question

I take it you have drums? You will need to use a ball joint for drum spindles. Why not find a used one?
