M-17, actually I have to go to Oakdale next Wednesday (7:30 AM- 2 PM) but I can leave it by the front door, or other day, or we can figure out something else.

Re: Windshield Trim Pic

I think Rene's gift will fix your problem Bill. That's OEM verses your repop trim. My son put my old trim back in, and there are NO gaps period.
EDIT... Just talked to my son (expert glazier) , He said to tell you that the short trim CAN be put into the deep gasket ... The rubber will hold it because it will pinch just enough to hold for awhile, but then it will start to creep out. Sound familiar? He said he wouldn't use the repop stuff, ... Pure junk. His words not mine. FWIW

Just got here....Pismo.....How about Sunday afternoon? Didn't want to call this late.

Both of you guys are what this Forum is all about.

What brand of windshield? It should say in the lower right.
Hey, Lee. I've been away for a while. Just checked the windshield. The etching (?) is on the lower portion, driver's side.

It reads:

Laminated Safety

DOT-485 M-648 AS-1

E11 (inside a circle, and bigger font)

43R-005240

Thanks for the comments and tips.
Not sure if it's been mentioned already or not - 'aftermarket' windshields are thinner than OE. Then if your seal isn't correct (too big, etc...) issues get compounded. I used a Precision seal w/aftermarket windshield and didn't have any trouble. Pics in my build. Edit: I just ready you are using repop trim, add to the list above. I wouldn't use it either, if I had the option of OE trim. I'm using OE trim.
