New guy from Canada 1970 short step
Just got back from a 3 day road trip to NC to pick up my C10.
It just a base model with the 6 cyl 3 speed but the body is in good shape. Plans are for a full restoration along with a 5.3 and 700R4, 2/4 drop, power disc brakes, power steering etc. The truck came with new chrome front and rear bumpers, new dash pad, new carpet, new door weatherstrip, new window channel, and door sill weatherstrip, new GM window regulators, all new light lenses, new door sill trim, new door handles and window handles, and a bunch of other stuff. All this stuff adds up to almost what I paid for the truck. Looking forward to being part of this great community. Cheers Ken |

welcome from the other side of the river!
that looks like a nice solid truck you found. you wouldn't be a trap shooter at the Dresden club, would you?

Re: New guy from Canada 1970 short step
Thanks for the warm welcome guys.
nobolt haha small world I have shot at the Dresden club but it's not my go to spot. I usually go to Wabash Sportsman Club in Thamesville. Sporting Clays in Inwood every once in awhile too. I'm real happy with the truck, I have it almost torn down to the frame and no surprises were uncovered, very minimal rust. It was used as a parts delivery truck by a independent auto parts store in Rockingham N.C. for 41 years then sold to the owner I bought it from in 2011. He had great plans for it and bought all the new parts that came with it but for whatever reason couldn't finish what he started. Luckily I was able to get it before he was able to molest it.

Re: New guy from Canada 1970 short step
we used to shoot there several times a year. I miss their Boxing day breakfast shoot. and we used to have a club vs. club shoot too. St. Clair Hunt and Fish hosted in like Feb then Dresden in March. every year.
it got to be almost impossible for you guys to get your guns across.....then we all needed passports....so it all fizzled out. that truck is almost the right colour, eh? it just needs a white Maple Leaf on each door! have a good night.
