Lower radiator hose issue

Running mid mount zoops kit and lower hose don't seem to fit right, resting on frame and would rather not replace later on. Any suggestions?
Sbc 350, zoops mid mount drive system, long water pump and champion radiator. Here is a pic

Re: Lower radiator hose issue

Could always get a cool flex radiator hoses? you can cut them to length and bend them any way you need to.

I'm replacing my radiator too! Was yours old too? What all did you replace?
I'm only replacing the radiator and overflow tank b/c they were rusty. I'm think the transmission cooler may be rusty too b/c the radiator and overflow were but don't know if I should replace it too.

I'm going to drive on it for a week or two and see if there is still rust in the system if so then I'll replace it.

Your radiator looks like it has the neck for the 73-87 style truck. I thought ours had more of an up-turn to clear the frame. You could also put a rubber sleeve around your hose so that it doesn't rub directly against the frame.

The lower nipple need to be cut off an a pie shaped wedge taken out. Rhe rewelded to make it point upward. Most boat repair shops have someone on staff that can weld aluminum
