Yes.
You will need to trim the lower a-arm around the lower ball joint.
This has been documented many times on here concerning 15" wheels,... with more than 3.5" of backspacing.

A quik grinding to the lower control arm will fix it.

Re: ? bout 2.5" drop spindles....

I'm in the process of building the chassis for my 86 swb truck. I had planned on running the stock rallies for awhile after cleaning them up, but found that they hit on my McGaughy's 2 1/2" drop spindles where the tie rod end goes through the spindle. I put a 5/16 spacer on them for now so that I can get the chassis rolling, but would want longer wheel studs if I was going to drive it that way as there is not much thread engagement with the stock studs. This part of the spindle isn't very thick, and even if it was clearanced, it would hit the tie rod end itself on the dust boot, so no clearancing will work. They hit right on the inside edge of the rim where the wheel weights would be.

Re: ? bout 2.5" drop spindles....

I just installed some McGaughys 2.5" Spindles last night and the tie rod portion is hitting the weights on the Summit Racing 15x8 Rally wheels. I'm Gonna run spacers until I get the wheels balanced again and see if they can mount the spacer on the inside of the wheel.

Re: ? bout 2.5" drop spindles....

I have been told it depends on which brand spindle you run. The folks that run the Bell techs and Western spindles don't seem to have clearance issues with the stock 8" ralleys (4" backspace). Those that run DJM and some others brands tend to have clearance issues with 15" wheels. IT depends on the wheel and backspacing. Some have to grind the caliper, some have to clearance the tie rod mounting point.

Re: ? bout 2.5" drop spindles....

Put Mchaughy's or however you spell it drop spindles on a guys C10. Stock rally's hit the lower ball joints, it needed wheel spacers. Also had to modify the stock brake hoses (had to bend the metal portions) for the hose to clear the upper control arm.
