I don't know what year. It's the same exact GM unit that Hydratech sells. I put the same unit on mine and used all the Hydratech fittings and hoses, everything was Standard on mine. I just ended up with an extra I don't need. That's what happens when it takes you 10 years to do your project. You forget what you've already bought. Lol

Never heard of this before, what is it for? Is it hydrolic brake booster or clutch? How hard to install and what else is needed to install this to a 69 chevy/gmc?

It's a brake booster that utilizes power steering pump for power brakes instead of vacume. Makes a ton of stopping power. You can do a Google search for Hydratech or Hydroboost. You will get a ton of info there... Way better than I can explain here. Lol
