meathead is right we have had them for over 8 years .we have even got checks from them saying our insurance had dropped in price and here is the difference.we have had claims with them,1 our garage door spring broke and the door dropped out of the tracks we had a check the following morning.2 my wifes car and my truck had hail damage i didnt even get to see the damage on her car before it went to the shop.and little over a year later(past the one year claim mark)they paid for a new roof hail damage.but i guess it helps that our agent is my wifes best friend since kindergarden.i would rather pay a little more than most and get good fast service

State Farm

When Hurricane Isabel came through, A large tree branch fell on my Silverado and my 79 Camaro. They paid to fix the truck just like it came from factory. Roof right bedside tailgate shocks and a few smaller dents and scratches. I was impressed. But the Camaro because of it's age I did not have comprehensive. I am still pulling the dents out of it myself. I guess it is my bust for not having all the insurance I could have. And home onwers does not cover a vehicle. I guess a mixed blessing on Isabel. When I first built my truck 6 years ago and was driving it everyday I insured it with State Farm and had $8500 full coverage insurance on it. They took alot of pictures and the rates were not outrageous. I reccomend them to anyone wanting full coverage on their old truck. Keep reciepts though

The interesting point here, is the fact that they will put full coverage on somethign this old, and then let you drive it.
Most ins companies will only give you that kind of coverage if you lock it up and only drive it 10,000 miles a year.
I have been with Geico for about 10 years now, and I do have a few problems with them, but they haven't done me too wrong as of yet. Sounds like you have a good deal going there.
