Lowering a 62' C20....

Hello all-

Just wondering if anyone has lowered a 62' C20 before? Yep, it's 3/4 ton truck and I'm having my difficulties finding the part I need to do so. I can find drop spindles, bag systems and lots of other stuff for 63' C10's, but nothing for my truck.
I tried to buy some tires for my truck the other day and they told me that because it is a 3/4 ton truck that I have to put TL rated tires on it. WTH? Really, I asked him if he would install the tires if I ordered them online (basically to get what I want) and he said "no". So I asked him who would and he replied a "less" reputable tire shop. There it is there, now I have to go to the shady part of town to get some tires installed. I guess I have to do, what I have to do. Any links for suspension for my truck guys? Thanks.

Re: Lowering a 62' C20....

You can update the spindles and change balljoints to 73-87 and get disk brakes at the same time. Is it torsion bar up front? Depending on tire size, rim size you can get lower profile LT rated tires. It is a weight rating for your truck the tire Guy is looking at. If you overload a 1/2 ton tire he is covering his butt. Putting a passenger tire on a truck is not smart. I admit I have P rated on mine but also rear tires are rated at 2450lbs. How low and what tire size are you looking at?
