Steering gear return fitting won't seat
I'm having trouble trying to seat the power steering return hose fitting into the gear. I've tried 3 flared end fittings that won't seat at all. Looking down into the port of the pump, I don't see a mating surface for the flare. Is there an o-ring that goes there?

73-79 steering boxes use flare fitting
80 up use an o ring seal You appear to have the wrong fitting |

Thanks. Will go to the parts store and see if they have an '80/up return line and o ring.
