98 k1500 350 vortec into 87 k10?

Boy hit a deer Sat night with the 98. Neighbor has the twin to it for sale so I am going to buy it. Have a 87 k10 that has an oil burnin weak-ass engine it. Would the swap be hard? (Vortec into the 87)? Would the whole drive train swap in? Motor, auto-trans, and transfer case?. Needs rear differential work too. Same ratio. Would they swap?

yes you can swap the 98 engine in and transmisson in the 87 but you will need a transfer case and t case adapter cause the 87 has the front diff on the right side to where the 98 tcase is on the left side. you will need to install a higher presssure fuel pump in your tank .everything else will swap in pretty easy check some forums youm will see where many folks have done this swap.the 98 rearend can be used in your 87 too with minor fab work.
