Re: for all the eaton h052/72 nuts (like me)
Is that a dual wheel rear? They don't say,but that was my thought when I looked. They don't say much at all, except how much they want for it. Don't even mention ratio. Shipping would be killer, but not for me. It's about 20 minutes from where I sit! If I get time I'll go check. Maybe it's a No-Spin (and they don't know, like the ratio)

All of those questions are answered if you scroll down the ad.
I need to buy wheel bearings for mine. I removed them and left them soaking in something that pitted them.

I don't see anything special about it. Why pay the shipping when you can find these under any 1 ton truck in your own area? Rears here run about $75 bucks.
Our local yards get big trucks in all the time. (not sure how long that will last but for now...)

Re: for all the eaton h052/72 nuts (like me)
I scrolled down to description and stopped when I saw their banner and all, thinking that was it (like so many listings). The single rear HO72s are not all that common, but those brake parts are different from C/20s and all the more rare. Wouldn't make a lot of sense to swap those in. That place is proud of their stuff. It's a repair garage/body shop/used car lot/used part business. A bit more "polished" than a junkyard and their prices reflect that. They sublet work for new car dealerships. The Stup name is as old as the county and this business is an old "fixture"

Re: for all the eaton h052/72 nuts (like me)
I believe it said it was under a suburban, so im guessing its single rear wheel, and probably a 4.11 ratio. in my area these axles are rare!!! so I was ecstatic to find this. a lot of the junk yards around me have 1985 and newer vehicles, and the ones who do have these old trucks want to charge an arm an a leg for these

Re: for all the eaton h052/72 nuts (like me)
The ad said pickup,so C/30 Longhorn. That price isn't bad at all. No junkyard around here sells rears for any less. More like $300. Members here on the board, who aren't businesses with overhead or for profit list HO52/72s for $100 and up. Something like this has got to be a local purchase, though

Re: for all the eaton h052/72 nuts (like me)
.....and there's a panhard bar mount? Ok,my first thought was "lowered C/30" (axle flip). But then I see the panhard bar mount. Coil rear converted to leaf? If so,it must be an HO52 because all C/30 frames were leaf. Boy,it's looking more and more like I should go check out this rear I have absolutely no interest in buying right now (broke/already have stash) just because I'm a ding dang truck nut!

Re: for all the eaton h052/72 nuts (like me)
I just want to go look at it out of pure curiosity. I do buy just to have, but don't intend to this time. I'm sure this is an HO52 with load bolt
