I can’t remember which brand carries it (perhaps both do) but I’ve bought sheets of styrene diamond plate from either Plastruct or Evergreen. When skinned with Bare Foil, it looks real:

This is my original 1960 GMC model. The first two pictures were taken with flash, the last picture is without flash:

The scale may be off by a tad, but it fools the eye into thinking it’s correct.

slow at work this time of the year, got bored & was digging threw my parts box & found these desert dawgs & rims.
built this 'bout 10 yrs ago, decided it's time for an upgrade. more of a 4by fan

trying out the dawgs. unfortunatly the only front axle i have right now is a d44, so thats what it's getting
thinking i might change the chromes to whitespokes
