Factory Rear Sway Bar
EDIT: AS OF MAY 15TH 3RD ONE AVAILABLE...FREE SHIPPING!
This is the identical one pulled from a 1 ton as the ones that member 1774btcrew sold recently. This is the first one I have come across so I think they are pretty rare. I was able to save the u bolt saddles, u bolt spacers, and 2 of the extra long ubolts all of which are included. You will need 2 u bolts and probably new rubber bushings. $150 plus shipping. Thanks, Ray Last edited by KrazyRay; 05-15-2013 at 07:03 PM. |

Re: Factory Rear Sway Bar
Ray think this would work with a flipped axle?

Re: Factory Rear Sway Bar
It would have to go on top and there would not be enough clearance to the frame.

Re: Factory Rear Sway Bar
I have a standard 73 3/4 longbed C/20.
Will this correctly bolt into my truck? I just need to know that it is correct for my truck before I can commit to taking it. Let me know...THX

Re: Factory Rear Sway Bar
Yes. It will bolt to your truck. You might have to drill a hole on each side of the frame for the studs to mount on to.
Thanks, Ray |

Is it the "flipped" part that makes this unusable on lowered trucks, or is it all lowered trucks?

Re: Factory Rear Sway Bar
I think it is the "flipped axle" that would be the problem because the sway bar goes on the opposite side of the axle from the leafs. So if the leafs were on the bottom of the axle, then the sway would be on top and end up hitting the frame. If you use lowering springs or shackles, the sway bar should work fine. You might have to cut the frame mounting sleeves down to square it up with the lowered truck.
