Sanderson BB8 Headers
Hey everybody... I'm about to drop some cash on a new set of headers on my truck, and was wondering if anyone has Sanderson BB8's mounted on their truck, and how you like them? I'm looking mainly for clearance underneath the truck, and want something that sits flush or above the bottom of the frame rails. If anyone has pics that'd be great! Thanks in advance for any shared wisdom & experience!

Re: Sanderson BB8 Headers
I have the Sanderson CC10's on my truck, and love them. They fit great. Not sure that helps you, but thought I would share.

Re: Sanderson BB8 Headers
I am running BB8's. When I first fit the headers my stock motor mounts had collapsed some over the years, making it impossible to get one side in. Had to lift the motor and install some new polyurethane motor mounts before they'd fit. I opted for the silver coating and I wasn't happy with the finish. For the price they charge I expect perfection. I mailed them back, on my own dime, and they re-coated and mailed them back. As far as clearance, they make tucking your exhaust right up near the frame rails possible.

Re: Sanderson BB8 Headers
Thanks for the feedback everybody! I think I'll probably go with the Sanderson headers for my bigblock.
Hey, anybody know for sure if a 1979 c-10 is required to have cat converters? It doesn't have them now, but I'll have to take it to a muffler shop to have some new pipe bent for the new headers... Just trying to see what all expense I'm going to be out with this project. Thanks for the help! |

Re: Sanderson BB8 Headers
Sounds like your mind is made up but I put them on my BB and loved them, my ceramic finish was great and I loved the gasket less flanges!

Re: Sanderson BB8 Headers
Not required in Texas. I think only 1984 or newer...
