Re: The 68 c10 plain and simple
Your truck is really coming along nice, the cab is at the same stage as mine was two weeks ago, I had to laugh when I seen your seat frame. As it looks the same as mine did, but I didn't really notice mine needed paint until I had a picture of it. I am sure you will get to yours as I had to tend to mine. Good luck with your build as its coming along really clean.

Re: The 68 c10 plain and simple
so heres the new motor in the truck i happened to pick of the parts friday at 5 then had the short block together around 630 then went to the jet hot car show in burlington holley hill mall, so i got up about 11 on sat and got the old motor out and started to tear it down to get the tins and some other parts i didnt have like the oil pump bolt and so on and the steel drive shaft gear
heres some specs on the new motor 68 dated 327 .40 over bore std std crank .01 oversized bearings m55a oil pump 30w vr1 oil with extra zddp it has a erson cam 235 on both sides 479 lift on a 108 double roller timing set 041 69 dated heads with 194 150s holley strip dominator intake and the little 600 edelbrock wasnt enough for this new motor so i bolted my 600 holley on it and then basically i was done sat night at 2 in the morning besides putting in the antifreeze and and getting another carb base gasket but it fired up and ran great and has that same nice lick to it that it had before Ill have to post a video of it soon
