67-72 chevy gmc truck bolt on aluminum heater delete panel plate
I bought this panel off EBay as I was not sure which direction I was going, and recently purchased a nver installed Vintage AIr setup, so I no longer need this. I paid $43 +$12 shipping for the panels alone. I am including the 1/4"x20 stainless steel screws and ferrules that I purchased separately. All but two screw directly into the firewall and need no other fasteners. Two need a nut on the backside in order to fasten correctly. I mounted the large panel, but not the small blower motor panel. I planned to drill a hole in the center one and use the "plumbers strap" shown in the photo behind it to fasten it to the firewall.
$50 shipped to the lower 48, you cover the paypal fees if paying that way, money order OK as well. This is from the EBAY ad: " This 2pc panel fits 67 - 72 Chevy and GMC trucks with heater only. The panel is made of .080 thick 5052 aluminum. (Same thickness as a nickel). 5052 is commonly used in aircraft and marine applications. Super light weight and strength is ideal for this application. Our heater delete panel is an exact fit. Panel mounts using original hole locations. Blower hole cover can be mounted with silicon. No need to drill any holes unless you want to fasten the blower cover with screws/bolts. Panel exceeds NHRA requirements of .050 aluminum. A bead of silicon around the perimeter of the panel will seal out any fumes from the engine compartment. I recommend Permatex Ultra Black Hi Temp RTV Silicon Gasket Maker. Comes in a black squeeze tube. You can get it at most auto parts stores. Each panel has a sanded (400 grit) finish. Ready for paint to match you car's color or leave it natural sanded aluminum. |

I guess should have posted "reasonable offers". Please take into consideration that the shipping on this will be $15-$18.
