My static 69.. Thoughts?
Static, but very bad setup. Cut springs, heated and clamped. Rides terrible but I love how it sits. any suggestion on how I can get this low with a better suspension setup? I was wondering if anyone can tell me whether they think that the porterbuilt stage 1 kit would be able to ride (be drivable) this low, or a bit higher?

Re: My static 69.. Thoughts?
You can use our stage 1 front kit with a 2.5" drop spindle. But you will need a c-notch out back. (Stage 2 rear basic would be ideal).

Re: My static 69.. Thoughts?
As Nate said above , that would be the ideal way.
Poor man version would a set of 4" springs and a 2" block with longer U-bolts ..... Definitely better ways , but this would be a reasonable option. And something you could accomplish in the driveway with simple hand tools , jackstands and a floor jack. This would equal a 6.0" drop in the rear. This would be about $200.00-$225.00 in parts. A 2.5" spindle and a set of 2" springs in front would get you 4.5" drop This would be about $375.00 worth of parts if you already have disc brakes. If your truck is six lug and you want to keep that you can get 6-lug front rotors to match back bolt pattern Then you need to think about shocks ..... $200.00 range and maybe a long trac bar on top of that Porterbuilt stuff is great if you can fit it in to the budget , I am doing a dropmember to mine and I sell all kinds of parts. What I described above I have done numerous times and makes a relatively easy and reasonably priced drop. There is all kinds of ways to accomplish what you are after .... Just figure out exactly what you want and go for it and then make sure you post pics ..... ! Good luck in whatever you decide. |
