i have a $10 cheapo autozone antenna mounted under my truck next to the passenger rocker
works well enough, not that i listen to much radio, mostly mp3s i made a bracket to mount the base and then slid some rubber hose over the mast and ty wrapped it to the rocker you don't want the mast grounded
