how do you know if it's oem tailgate

Is their any way to tell if it's the oem tailgate .I'm looking at buying this one

I would say weight differences, an OEM gate weights around 40-50 lbs with all the inner guts, a repro weights about 15 lbs less

From my quick research, it looks like the GM gates are spot welded in a specific way. (I don't have that info).
The weight can be the heavier the same or up to 7 pounds lighter for repop gates.
