Lurker going active from Ohio
Hi- I have actually been a member on this site for 4 years, but this is going to be my first post I believe. I have mostly been a car guy for many years, but just yesterday scored a 1964 C10. I have been looking for a truck like this for a few years, and now that I have it, I am going to need some help from you experts. Mostly in helping me spot the mistakes and deviations from original.
Truck is a '64. Has non-original 283 and powerglide. I will be starting another thread with pictures about it. I hope to make it sort of a "resto-mod". I want it pretty much original looking everywhere except for under the hood. Right now the plan is to swap the 283 for a heftier 350. I'd like to convert it back to a manual with a muncie 4spd or something similar, or maybe a 700R4 if I stay with automatic. I am pretty well versed in chevy drivetrains and engine building, so hope to contribute when I can. Anyway, Thanks. |
