Engine - Chasis grounds

So where are you guys running chasis grounds for the engine/electrical system? I remember my Z06 used to have one from each side of the motor, and one from each cylinder head. Any input is much appreciated.

i would do a ground bus

battery to bus
bus to block
bus to chassis
bus to body
bus to radiator core
bus to dash
bus to dash bus for radio/amps
fuel tank to frame

then i would run additional grounds between body panels and additional between frame and body

its kind of like a boat positive bus(fuse panel)
ground bus... every thing grounded back to same ground. this way there is only 1 potential to ground. you will remove 99.9% of all ghosts and gremlins.

so heres the next question, which I probably could have answered by opening the box....Ive got a full chasis Painless wiring harness....does that include all necessary grounds, or do I need to add any?

im unsure... i build my own from scratch as needed.

my guess is no... or limited grounds...

and then people wonder why so many people have electrical gremlins in their vehicles...

they buy a "kit" and dont understand they need grounds... then they have light issues, radio isues, wont run issues, wont stay running under load etc etc....

That is why I build my own. That way I know exactly what I have and know what all of my wires do.

All good points....however, wiring is definitely the weak point in my car restoration knowledge base. So I'm running the painless harness for my carb'd LS swap, but someone please school me as far as what I need for grounds. Like I said, my only knowledge base is troubleshooting my vette which was very susceptible to grounding issues.
