Radiator core support 71 GMC
Hey all. First time poster. Restoring a 71 GMC short box and this forum has tons of great pics and really good information. I'm having problems finding a GMC radiator core support. No luck in junk yards in the area. LMC sells only chevy for some reason. My question is, will a 68 chevy core support fit a 71 gmc since the front fenders are the same? Then I imagine we could weld on the second headlight bracket from the old support. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!!

I believe that is correct. I have heard of others going the other way - making a 68 Chevy out of a GMC by knocking off the GMC headlight buckets & grill, installing Chevy buckets & grill, and swapping the hood.

GMC Paul is a vendor on here, and he has the GMC rad supports now!! I have no link to him other than this board and to know he is a great guy from all I have read and understand that all his deal are square and above board, the kind of people you like doing deals with. Jim
