About to order wheels...

I'm about to order some C57s. I'm going for 18/20 combo. According to their website, 18x8 only come in 4.5" backspace, which I was hoping for a close to 5" backspace for those. For the rears I'm going 20x10 with 5.5" bs, which should fit fine on my 72 rearend.

Should I be worried about the 4.5" backspace on the fronts? This truck will be running a Porterbuilt Stage 1 kit in the front. And in about a year, I'll switch to the Porterbuilt tubular arms. Out back its a stage 2 kit from Porterbuilt.

Thanks for any help!

Re: About to order wheels...

Most people run 20x8.5 up front with 5.25" BS. So, taking that into consideration, on an 18x8 thinking apples to apples.. you'd only be .25 wider to the outside than a like for like comparison.

As low as your truck will be / is I'd be a little hesitant though. Most of the bagged trucks will go to a 5.5" BS up front to help with turning and fender clearance issues. .. but on an 18 it might be ok (?)

What size tire had you planned to use on the front ?

Re: About to order wheels...

I'm thinking I'll run 255/40/18 and 295/40/20.
