A little change
The wife has been on to me ever since I did them the first time. So today I went a head and swapped them out. I guess she was right I like the new ones better now that it's done...Ha!
Here is what they looked like before. Here is what they look like now. I also installed the roadkill mat inside the doors while I had the panels off.

I left the old cover in place thinking it would help but I may have to take it back off and do away with it since it's coming through.

Re: A little change
I bought it like that. I may take it back a part and put some padding in between them to get the outter back good and smooth. I need some idea's for the bottom though. I want to make some kind of panel to make it Three-dimensional but not sure how to. I'm going to check google and see if I can findout how to do something with it.
Here is my dash pad I did. I may even redo the head liner to. My wife and I did this back several years ago. She sewed the pleats in the headliner useing some cotton filler to make them puffy.

Looks good either way, but I'd have to vote for the before pic!

Looks good. I'm also a fan of the ripples but whatever you like, it's your truck.

Re: A little change
I'm liking the pleated look better, but it looks good. I think some off white 69-71 style with carpet on the bottom would look really sharp as well. As long as you like it, that's all that matters!

Re: A little change
Well I liked the pleats also but with the smooth dash pad I figured I would change it. The wife said it didn't match good so that's why I changed it.
The vent window delete was my idea for not having the money at the time for 1 peice window kit. The whole thing is screwed in and I can put the vents back in it at any point. I have gotten use to it and it doesn't bother me at all while driving. The door panels are a light grey. My wife asked the same thing why I went with white.

Re: A little change
How did the roadkill mat do? I'm getting ready to change all the window seals out in Stella and I'm wondering if it's worth it to put that in the doors when I have the panels out.
Thanks. |

Tinkermc, I don't think the pleats would look to good on the dash in my opinion.

Re: A little change
Didn't drive it today. It was pouring down raining when I left so I left it in the garage. When I shut the doors u can tell a big differance in the sound of them. I did the back wall a few weeks ago. It made some differance in the sound of the stereo. Still need to do the floor also.

Re: A little change
Son has a date tonight so I let him have the 08 Tahoe today to clean it up and I drove the truck to work.
I could tell a lot of differance in the music. Doors sound good now when I shut them. I need to find some nice door arm rests to put in it.
