dual tank??
did 1976 trucks come with dual tanks? what would i need to convert 1976 to dual tanks from a single tank other than thte right side tank , sender, fuel line and dash switch. ?
what kind of diverter valve do they use?

yes. there is a selector valve that mounts along the frame by the fuel tanks... I dont think it would be that hard to convert.. If your truck bed doesnt have a filler neck door/hole then you will need to do something about that too. Other wise I say thumbs up, dual tanks rocks

thats the whole reason im thinking of it cause i may be getting a bed with dual tank holes

Also you may need to wire it in but that's easy. I have a copy of a wiring diagram from Mike Reeh if you need it I can email it to you. It's off a 78 but should be the same.

Rusty -- Are your fuel tanks vented?
And is that switch that ChevyGuy has vented? I've got a working switch, but I can't use it on my truck becuase mine is vented.... I need an opening for both the fuel lines and their venting lines, as well as the output for the fuel line and the output for the vent line...

my tanks have three lines so yes i believe they are vented
