Correct. However, the disadvantage with the drive flange setup is that the front axles are always turning even when the transfer case is in 2 hi. Locking hubs in the unlocked position essentially disengage the front axles from the front wheels, so the axles aren't continually turning when the wheels are turning. Some owners say they get better gas mileage with unlocking hubs, and they may reduce wear and tear on the front axle parts since they're not always turning.
