78 c10
im starting to build my 78 stepside. so far i have done a 4 6 drop and torn out the inside. soon to post up some pics. right now im just working on the body work. and once i have the fenders and hood. im going to do some welding and then off to add a 2 k primer and block sand and paint. im thinking of going with a hot rod black/ satin black. what are some good paint brands to use for this. i was thinking of using kustom shop paint since i have heard it good and also add the flat clear to the paint.

Re: 78 c10
just got my 17x7 and 17x8 torque thrust wheels. i think they look really cool. just wanted to go with an old school look. im not a big fan of the big wheels. il be in Pomona this weekend looking for some fenders and a hood. so i can get ready to do the 2k primer and block sanding.
what do u guys think? oh and whats a good cam set up to beef up this 350? |

Re: 78 c10
Those are my absolute favorite rims on these trucks. Im not a fan of huge rims either. I wish they made those all black! Hit up comp cams cam selection tool on their website. Plug in your info and itll give you some good recommendations.

Re: 78 c10
XE268 or DE275 would be good for a stock headed 350..with valve spring upgrades..intake & headers..

Re: 78 c10
hey guys sorry i havent had time to more pics up on the progress.
well here are some pics of the black primer sealer that im doing. i changed my mind about going with satin black. im going with just plan old gloss black. satin black will get dirty for work and a gloss black will be easy to clean and wash. |
