1958-1959 GMC Parking Lights
As I understand it these are very hard to find. I was looking at doing a little project of trying to 3D print some out of ABS plastic but I do not have a part to model them after.. Can someone provide me with a tracing(outline) and a sketch with dimensions so I can try to model one up to be printed? I only need for one side since they are a mirror image of the other. If someone has a busted up one (in pieces) that I could borrow that would be better.
Thanks.... |

I have one that I will trace for you. I want one of the one's that you make though. Be happy to pay for it.

Re: 1958-1959 GMC Parking Lights
So can you 3D scan a part and then print it out?
Did you find what you are looking for? There have been a couple of efforts over the years to reproduce them, and the price of NOS just keeps going up.....

Re: 1958-1959 GMC Parking Lights
I need to be able to build a solid model of one of them in SolidWorks. Then it would need to be save in a file format to 3-d printers use.
to do that I need to have the dimensions. |

Are the originals stamped SS or cast pot metal?

Re: 1958-1959 GMC Parking Lights
I thought I heard someone say they were plastic? Maybe I heard wrong but none the less, if I can model it up they can be printed in ABS plastic.
