Another new to me ride - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Purchased a 72 cheyenne10 last week. This makes at least two too many trucks but oh well. It is a crappy pic of it but the truck is in really nice shape. Old guy owned for a long time. It is an original swb truck,350/350 trans. original rockers and cab corners. Very solid thru out.it came with paperwork of work going back to 1990 and also the original preceto plate and other dealer paperwork. It had some things put on it. It had a hood ornment from a monte carlo, and bed rails. My question on it for everyone is weather or not the rails were original or not? Look era correct for an old guy. Not exactly shure what to do with it. It is way too nice to cut up and drop. I am thinking just a little freshing up.

they are GM rails but not for sure for that era however they are worth some money if you decide to take them off.

Yea you dont want a boring truck like that that you'd cant stand to modify so I'm with racer 382 and you should sell it to one of us.

I will keep that in mind. My plan was to enjoy working on doing some detail work on it ( under body and under hood ) then sell it in the spring but i had it out driving today and i like it better than my 2013 2500. Rides better too.

I am mixed on bed rails. They do allow easy tie down but get in the way of bed covers.
