My '51 3100 flat bed
Here is the truck as I got it. I was very happy with the condition. The truck is mostly all there.Almost everything is usable. I can picture the finished truck already.
All the glass is stained with heat damage from hot sun. All the rubber is dried and cracked. Much surface rust that was mostly gone and painted within weeks of getting it. The motor is a 235 from around 53(can't pin down the date yet).It has a 4 speed that was a replacement also, judging by the hole cut in the floor to fit it. As far as I can tell it last ran about 5 years ago. |

Re: My '51 3100 flat bed
This picture is after I sanded out most of the surface rust.I got down to shiny metal with very little effort,no pitting. Some primer and first coats of rustoleum gloss black(I apologize for my redneck ways but I love that stuff and I don't have a paint gun.)

Nothing wrong with rustoleum. Great start on your truck looking forward to seeing it move along.
