Re: My Blue 67

Nice looking springs. Are you wanting to box the lower control arms? Or were you wanting to cut the ball joint and move it up then weld it back on?
Nice to see Blue is getting attention.

Re: My Blue 67

Yea I want to cup the lower spring pocket 2" to give me 4" of drop in the front and put the 71 spindles that Rexdodge gave me on so I can run disk brakes in the front.

Re: My Blue 67

Do you have pictures of your truck of all 4 sides before you started?

Re: My Blue 67

I lost the ones I had when my computer crashed. These are pretty close I've changed the wheels to these and did some body work . It's getting lowered real soon and I'm saving up for some new short bed sides.

Re: My Blue 67

Been a while since i've updated my build tread. Got the truck lowered a little with some 2" front springs and 4" inch rear springs. Front will come down a little more when I put the 2 1/2 in drop spindles and disk brakes on the front. Before that happens though I'll be putting a new motor in it. I'm going to go with a 383 stroker motor and 700r4 Tranny. Also bought a new Daily driver 70 1/2 ton long box so i can get more done on the 67 without worrying about having it back together so I can drive it to work. I'll be starting a build thread on Goldie soon.

Re: My Blue 67

Sorry to hear the blue ones motor took a dive. You'll love the 383.
Congrats on the Gold One.
Those trucks look good on you

Been checking in every once in awhile to see if another get together is planned. I got my foot working again and man is it ever nice to be able to walk so I can come and check out all the cool local trucks.

Again. Congrats on the Gold truck.

Re: My Blue 67

Just got a quote to for the 383 Stroker moter. It's going to cost me $3700 parts and labor for the motor with about 400 hp. Time to fix a few things and clean up project Goldie and get it sold to raise some funds.

Re: My Blue 67

Did a bit of Archeology today and dug one of the protecto plates out from behind the front seat. Anyone know if there is more than one proteco plate in the truck.

Re: My Blue 67

Got a little done on Blue but nothing picture worthy. Got a new set of cooper cobra tires and new Heater core put in. Next will be some wider Rally wheels in the rear and dropped spindles and disc brakes in the front. When project Goldie Gets sold I'll be putting the 383 in it. Hopefully soon.
