Look up NADA book value for your area.

I'm kinda like duct tape- no real purpose, but handy to have around.

How are you verifying the odometer has not rolled around once or twice or three times?

Re: Whats this truck worth

Without photos and only a description that sounds like a middle of the road truck, I don't see more than $1500. It would help if you could verify the miles and had pictures, but then again, old is old. Age sometimes is harder on something that just sits than something that is actually used.

There are dozens of 3/4 trucks in this area that sound just like you described. What they leave out is that it spent its life spreading feed and hay and living in a barn with the cats and mice. The undercarriage is spotless, because.... well go look at some old farm trucks and tractors that spend a lot of time driving through the pasture, you'll see. Driving around in that tall grass and weeds, especially on a damp morning, does wonders for cleaning up underneath.

Re: Whats this truck worth

This is my opinion, and it actually comes from someone who could even be interested in buying that truck.

"you know the truck" but I DONT AND NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE HERE.

Without pictures we cannot say to you what we think it is worth, based solely on "what you know." We don't know anything, and can't base something upon the fact that "you know it."

3/4 ton is worth less than 1/2 ton to most buyers. LWB is worth less than SWB to most buyers.

You describe a cracked dash and dried out and splitting crumbling rubber stripping. Combine that with the alleged low mileage and I bet the hoses and lines are dried hard and all need replacement. Sounds to me like the interior plastics will be dried out and brittle, crumbling to powder. Sounds like it will need a 100% interior makeover, a paint job, and all the rubber on the truck replaced before it is even a decent driver.

If you had pictures of these things that might change those assumptions, but, can't answer those questions just by going off a statement that "you know this truck."

Based on the existing assumptions, it sounds like a $1k to $2k truck tops.

Thats of course what you think without pictures........but it really is a nice truck with 0 rust and the original paint......no rust in the rockers or anywhere else. A one owner old mad driven truck. Its in Florida so the sun bakes the dash pads........I have a 2011 GMC crew cab that I bought new...it sits out in the sun alot with no dash pad..........I have 37,000 miles on the truck now..at 35K under warranty a couple of months ago........GM had to replace the dash pad !

But the truck in every respect is solid....except for what I mentioned. It also has new tires that were just purchased....
